Public land use in the federal sage-grouse emergency order area

Description

This directive has been developed in response to the federal emergency order for the Protection of the Greater Sage-Grouse, which addresses imminent threats to specified habitat in order to stabilize the sage-grouse population. Land use application and approval processes under the authority of the Public Lands Act, Water Act and Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act have been adjusted to align with the intent of the emergency order.
