[Natural Resources Transfer Agreement]

Description

Alberta has a constitutional obligation under the 1930 Natural Resources Transfer Agreement to transfer back to Canada unoccupied Crown lands necessary to allow Canada to fulfil its treaty obligations with First Nations. This brief fact sheet provides some background to the agreement, including its application to hunting and fishing rights.
