Description

This fact sheet looks at the difference between surface rights ownership and sub-surface or mineral rights ownership, and explains how each type of ownership is determined. It also outlines the process to have a mineral lease title amended to reflect changes to the landscape caused by the permanent recession of a water body resulting, in transformation of landscape from a bed and shore to dry upland.
