The Métis Women’s Council on Economic Security was established to provide advice and recommendations to the Government of Alberta on strategies to improve the economic security of Indigenous women in Alberta. The Council’s 2014 report and recommendations puts forth recommendations in the areas of education and training, health and wellness, and employment and entrepreneurship. This report presents the Council’s recommendations and the Government of Alberta’s response to these recommendations.
