Methane emissions management from the upstream oil and gas sector in Alberta

Description

This annual information report provides details related to mitigating methane emissions from the upstream oil, bitumen and gas sector in Alberta, which includes all facilities licensed or approved by the Alberta Energy Regulator, including, but not limited to, well sites, oil and gas batteries, gas plants, compressor stations, pipelines, gas gathering systems, oil production sites, and other related facilities, but does not include bitumen mining and upgrading. The report meets Alberta's annual reporting requirements included in a 2020 agreement between Alberta and Canada regarding the reduction of methane emissions from the oil and gas sectors.
