Description

Alberta production of natural gas has been decreasing over the past decade. This is partly a reflection of the fact that our conventional gas reserves are declining. A lot of the decline in production is also due to competitive pressures, particularly rise of natural gas production from the United States. One in a series of fact sheets produced to give Albertans a basic knowledge of the royalty system and assist them in effectively participating in royalty review discussions.
