Description
This post-incident assessment reviews the Province's response to the wildfires that threatened the Lesser Slave Lake region in May of 2011. It finds that the response to the Lesser Slave Lake disaster met or exceeded standards and leading practices from around the globe, and also highlights innovative practices to be captured for the future and lessons to be learned. It makes 19 recommendations to enhance emergency preparedness, response and recovery.
