Description
As part of the Government of Alberta’s ongoing commitment to implementing the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Government is planning to implement Indigenous introductory training for all Alberta Public Service employees, and Alberta agencies, boards, and commissions. The intent is to raise awareness of the historical and contemporary experiences of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples in Alberta. This report summarizes the results of engagement sessions held with government employees, Indigenous scholars, and the Indigenous community to inform the development of a training proposal.
