Indigenous Learning Initiative engagement summary report : Indigenous community

Description

As part of the Government of Alberta’s ongoing commitment to implementing the principles of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Government is planning to implement Indigenous introductory training for all Alberta Public Service employees, and Alberta agencies, boards, and commissions. The intent is to raise awareness of the historical and contemporary experiences of First Nations, Métis and Inuit peoples in Alberta. Members of the Indigenous community were engaged to provide feedback on the development of this training. This report summarizes the results of this feedback and will be used to inform the development of a training proposal.
