Guideline for planning wildlife crossing structures

Description

Wildlife crossing structures physically separate wildlife from traffic and allow safe wildlife passage across roadways via underpasses or overpasses. The purpose of this guideline is to promote the effective design of animal-vehicle collision on provincial highways and should be used by consultants when preparing an animal-vehicle collision mitigation plan with a wildlife crossing structure for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors.
