Description

Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is a highly contagious and sometimes fatal viral disease of cloven-hoofed animals, including cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. This fact sheet summarizes information to help producers identify the signs of FMD, and the basic biosecurity measures that should taken to minimize the introduction and spread of all infectious animal diseases, including FMD.
