Description

Presents ten recommendations made to the government by the First Nations Women's Council on Economic Security in 2017, and the related government responses to the recommendations. Recommendations cover the child intervention system, post-secondary education; the justice system, and Indigenous health. Includes an appendix aligning the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and Government of Alberta priorities. The Council was established in 2013 to provide advice and recommendations to the Government of Alberta on ways to improve socio-economic outcomes for Indigenous women.
