Forest management agreement : West Fraser Mills Ltd. (Hinton) [2008-2028, amended]

Description

Represents the Forest Management Agreement (FMA) signed between the Crown and West Fraser Mills Ltd. An FMA provides the company with rights to harvest and reforest trees on Crown land, and ensures activities are carried out in a sustainable manner. The Agreement duration is from May 1, 2008 to April 30, 2028. The original agreement commenced on June 8, 1951. The FMA was amended to enable the sale of the West Fraser pulp mill to Mondi Hinton Inc. on February 5, 2024. West Fraser still retains all the rights to the timber on the FMA area.
