Field scouting

Description

Field scouting is the examination of fields to measure pest levels. A combination of basic scouting procedures and a good knowledge of pest biology will help farmers make sound pest management decisions. To properly scout for pests, farmers must know where they live, what they look like, and how to find and count them. This information is provided in the sections on specific pests.
