Fur Farms Act

Description

The Fur Farms Act provides for aspects of business licensing of fur farms. The Act describes the requirements and process for licensing a fur farm. Measures that should be taken to ensure the health of imported animals, report death or disease of farmed fur-bearing animals, and quarantine are also outlined in the Act. Penalties for contravention of the Act are documented along with the Minister’s authority to establish fees. Beaver and muskrat are exceptions to the Act.
