Estimated impact of ATV helmet use on injuries and direct health care system costs

Description

In 2013, there were 683 hospital admissions and 5,374 emergency department and outpatient visits for all-terrain vehicle (ATV) use injuries. The purpose of this Bulletin is to estimate the impact on head injuries and direct health care system costs at varying levels of helmets use by ATV users.
