Affordable housing : improving Albertans’ quality of life

Description

Alberta is building a housing system that delivers sustainable and affordable housing options to Albertans in need. Affordable housing supports low to moderate-income households that cannot attain housing at market rates. It can also provide stability for vulnerable people who may have significant barriers to accessing safe and suitable accommodations on their own. There are many types of affordable housing including emergency shelters, transitional accommodation, long-term supportive housing, subsidized housing and near-market housing.
