Disclosure of personal information “Not Contrary to the Public Interest”

Description

This Bulletin explains how section 17(2)(j) and section 17(3) apply when a public body receives a request for disclosure under Part 2 of the Act. The Bulletin also explains how these provisions apply when a public body is processing an access request. This Bulletin takes into consideration decisions issued by the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta up to December 31, 2008.
