The Code outlines required practices for the construction, maintenance, replacement or removal of permanent and temporary watercourse crossings, such as bridges and culverts. The Code specifies requirements for providing notice, planning, emergency response procedures, certification and confirmation, reporting, record keeping, information availability and monitoring. Criteria are provided for the classification of water bodies and restricted activity periods, as well as watercourse crossing types.
