Description
Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a direct marketing channel by which farmers sell shares or subscriptions for farm products to consumers. This study was tasked with surveying CSA operations in Alberta to compare the business models, pricing structure and performance of CSA operations, including detailed information about membership turnover, reasons for growth, marketing and production risk, business longevity, and market diversification.
