Borrow excavations

Description

This information letter provides guidance to operators of borrow excavations, which is a new class of specified land and which were previously treated as pits. A borrow excavation is an excavation in the surface made solely for the purpose of removing, opening up or proving borrow material for the construction of the sub-base for a roadway project.
