Description
Through regional plans under the Land Use Framework, Agriculture and Forestry is committed to monitor loss of agricultural land through fragmentation and conversion, and report on an annual basis. Statistics on land use class are provided for Alberta as a whole and for each of the Land Use Framework regions. These reports are used when assessing future needs for policies to preserve and protect agricultural land in Alberta.
