Description

Alberta’s ambient air quality objectives and guidelines are developed to protect Alberta’s air quality. They are intended to provide protection of the environment and human health to an extent technically and economically feasible, as well as socially and politically acceptable. This document provides objective levels for fine particulate matter, as well as a short description of the substance and the effects of exposure to fine particulate matter on humans, other animals, and vegetation.
