Description

Alberta’s Recovery Plan: Alberta’s Recovery Plan is the government’s response to the three great challenges Alberta was handed at the beginning of 2020: the largest global economic recession since the great depression, an unprecedented drop in energy prices, and the COVID-19 pandemic. This document outlines key components of Alberta’s Recovery Plan, including: immediate relief and supports for people, families and businesses, building core infrastructure, and policies to create an environment that attracts investment and job creators to the province, supports a competitive business environment, removes barriers to job creation, creates jobs for Albertans, and builds on Alberta’s strengths to diversify the economy.

Economic statement: Outlines the effects of the unprecedented economic crisis that hit Alberta in 2020 as a result of COVID-19 pandemic, global recession and world oil price collapse.
