Description

The purpose of a wildfire preparedness guide is to increase the situational awareness of emergency responders, enabling timely and informed decision-making should they be faced with a wildfire that threatens their community. This manual is a reference for municipal representatives, community leaders, contract planners and government employees for use during the planning, development and updating of wildfire preparedness guide documents; it contains a methodology, an example template, and additional information developed by Alberta Wildfire with input from various partners.
