This is the final evaluation report describing the progress and outcomes of the Alberta Provincial Stroke Strategy (APSS). The evaluation was designed to generate information to support improved stroke care and ensure quality services are in place for Albertans. Topics covered include: history and milestones of the APSS; educating Albertans about stroke; reducing stroke occurrence and mortality; improving access to care; and improving health care system efficiency and satisfaction with care. Also includes recommendations in each of the topics discussed.
