8-digit HUC watershed high risk assessment

Description

The Southern Alberta Fisheries Habitat Enhancement and Sustainability (FISHES) Program was established to help restore flood-affected fish habitat by identifying the key factors which are limiting aquatic productivity in flood affected watercourses in southern Alberta. The first stage of this program involved a fish habitat assessment which identified "hot spots" that had a high concentration of Water Act Approvals involving instream activities that were considered high risk to fish and which warranted further investigation to determine location, extent and severity of flood impacts on fish and fish habitat. This map displays the watershed high risk concentrations.
