Description

This report is intended to inform Alberta Enterprise and Advanced Education on selected potential opportunities for biochemicals development in Alberta. The Department is interested in the economic feasibility of upgrading bioresources in Alberta (wood and wood wastes, wheat, canola and other crops, municipal solid waste, etc.) to useful chemicals. The report provides insight and analysis on 40 chemicals that were deemed to be of interest from a bio-production and import replacement aspect.
