Usage Considerations

NOTE: Changes in the 2024 Guidelines are of an administrative nature and reflect current Alberta ministries names and roles, integrate the 2020 standalone amendment, and clarify how renewal and replacement applications align with existing legislation (Public Lands Act and Public Lands Administration Regulation). There has been no change to the substantive aspects of consultation as set out in the 2014 guidelines, such as process steps, decision-making, criteria for requiring consultation, or adequacy of consultation.
