Description

This design bulletin outlined a new highway service classification system adopted by Alberta Transportation as a result of a study completed by the department to review the previous classification system. The primary methodology used in the study was to identify the functional purpose of highways in the province. PLEASE NOTE: the design bulletin and all related materials in this record have been superseded by the Highway Geometric Design Guide. See Usage Considerations for additional information.
