Description
The annual report of the ministry of Health contains financial information of the ministry and a comparison of actual performance results to desired results set out in the ministry business plan, which was published as part of the previous year's budget. The report also includes financial statements for the entities making up the ministry and for which the minister is responsible.

- Beginning in 2018-2019, key information previously contained in ministry annual reports is included in the audited consolidated financial statements of the province found in the Government of Alberta annual report.
- On May 8, 2012, the Ministry of Health and Wellness was renamed as the Ministry of Health and was also transferred certain programs and services from the disestablished Ministry of Seniors.
