Extended Producer Responsibility Regulation

Description

The Extended Producer Responsibility Regulation provides an overarching regulatory framework for producers and systems for single-use products, packaging and paper products; and hazardous and special products. This regulation establishes oversight through a management board and allows this organization to establish bylaws; assigns full financial and operational responsibility to producers for the collection and management of designated materials; ensures a competitive system amongst producer responsibility organizations; and establishes a common collection system.
