Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education General Regulation

Description

The Regulation includes a number of provisions respecting matters that the Minister of Advanced Education must consider before establishing apprenticeship education and industry training programs, designating trades, prescribing an activity within a designated trade as a restricted activity and prescribing classes of individuals who may perform the restricted activity. It also prescribes offences and penalties for persons who contravene apprentice wage rates and apprentice-to-mentor ratios, remuneration and expenses paid to members of the Alberta Board of Skilled Trades and transitional matters and repeals relating to the implementation of the Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship Education Act and the repeal of the former Apprenticeship and Industry Training Act along with its regulations and board orders.
