Transportation Network Companies Regulation

Description

The Transportation Network Companies Regulation prohibits the operation of a transportation network company without obtaining the approval of the Registrar of Motor Vehicles. It additionally requires adequate insurance coverage for transportation network vehicles, and describes the appropriate coverage for an acceptable insurance policy. The regulation requires that transportation network companies receive background checks, and forbids the approval of any driver who is charged with, or has been convicted of, offenses listed in the regulation. Finally, the regulation provides for the imposition of administrative penalties for violations of the regulation.
