Description

The Canmore Flood Control Advisory Committee (CFCAC) was established in November 1974. Comprised of seven citizens from Canmore and the immediate area, the Committee was formed with two purposes in mind, first, and foremost, to provide a liason between the Canmore community and the Department of Environment. In doing so, it would identify for the Department the concerns and suggestions of the public about the river and the proposed flood control works and, in turn, inform the public of the steps the Department recommends be taken.
