Range plant communities and range health assessment guidelines for the Dry Mixedgrass Natural Subregion of Alberta. Second approximation

Description

This approximation will address the most extensive and common grassland and shrub plant communities in Dry Mixedgrass which were originally identified in the first approximation as well as less common plant communities or plant communities that or ones for which we had little data. The analysis evaluated 1418 vegetation plots and distinguished 74 plant communities of which were native grassland types, shrub types, or tame pasture. Plant communities are reported in three categories: 1- The reference plant communities, 2- The native successional plant communities, 3- The No modified (dominated by non-native species) communities.
