This handbook describes services and activities that parents can use to meet the diverse and changing learning needs of their special-needs child, and suggests ways they can enhance and enrich their child’s learning at home. The handbook also includes practical information and strategies parents can use to help their child make successful transitions, to voice any concerns they may have, and to stay informed. It should be noted that the handbook is an informal resource for parents and is not intended to be a legal document.
