Description
Following on recommendations in the report to the Premier’s Advisory Council on Health, The Expert Advisory Panel to review publicly funded health services was established in May 2002 to review the current publicly-funded health services and to review new health services to ensure that Alberta’s publicly funded health services remain comprehensive and sustainable for the future. This report provides an overview of the work done to date by the Panel on all five of those tasks. It also highlights the important work to come – namely setting up a process and structure for a more detailed and thorough review of currently funded and new services, setting priorities, and proceeding with reviews of specific services.
