Description

The Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act lays out the powers, roles and responsibilities of Albertans and their government in the assessment and management of environmental contamination. Part 4, Division 2 of the Act provides for the designation of contaminated sites and for the subsequent remediation of those sites by responsible persons. This guideline is intended to aid in implementing the contaminated sites provisions and to assist parties involved with contaminated sites in becoming aware of the designation process.
