Polling Subdivisions

Description

These data are subunits/subdivisions of the current Electoral Divisions, enacted in 2010. There are 87 Electoral Divisions. Polling subdivisions, (PSDs) are area units containing on average 450 electors. The PSDs are created for administering and delivering electoral events.

Usage Considerations

Used to administer provincial general elections and by-elections. Positional accuracy of the PSD boundaries is sufficient to assign addresses to their correct ED and PSD; +- 5 m in urban areas, +- 50 m in remote areas. User must have ESRI ArcMap, GeoMedia or other application capable of displaying geographic shapefiles.
