Usage Considerations

The data reflects the historical caseload number of Albertans receiving supports and services from the PDD program during the period of April 2010 to May 2018. From June 2018, active caseload counts are in the PDD Active Caseload dataset. These individuals may have received a variety of services such as home living, employment, community access or specialized community supports.

The PDD monthly caseload count is based on an average count for the reference month and the 11 previous months. Individuals are counted when an invoice for services is paid in the month. This method is used to address monthly invoicing fluctuations for a more accurate reflection of the number of individuals receiving services.

Please Note:

(1) Provincial total may not equal summation of the regional case counts. Individuals may receive services in more than one region. Provincial number is an overall unique count.

(2) - There are no regional data available for the time period April 2010 to March 2011.
