Usage Considerations

The data tracks the number of individuals accessing PDD services who are independent adults, have a designated guardian and/or trustee, a designated co-decision maker or supporter. Guardians and trustees are further identified as being private or public.

Individuals applying to the PDD program are considered independent adults, requiring no assistance with making decisions or managing their finances unless documentation is provided stating another party has decision-making and/or financial authority. Based on the Adult Guardianship and Trusteeship Act (AGTA) documentation must be provided to the PDD program to verify the designation of a Supporter, a Co-Decision-Maker, a Guardian, or a Trustee.
