Usage Considerations
The Culture and Tourism Survey of Albertans is a province-wide telephone survey of adult Albertans. An independent research company conducted this survey and collected 1,000 responses using a random sample stratified by age group, gender and geographic location to be representative of Alberta’s population. Albertans were asked if they had participated in recreational activities such as walking, bicycling, skiing, golfing, skating, swimming and amateur sports in the past year. Interviews were conducted from January 22 to February 28, 2015 by trained and experienced interviewers. The interviews were monitored in progress and at least 10.0 per cent of each interviewer’s work was directly monitored. The response rate for the survey was 22.4 per cent and the margin of error is +/- 3.1 per cent, 19 times out of 20.
