Description

This dataset is a customization of Statistics Canada data to present information on the employed labour force 15 years and over by industry (North American Industry Classification System 1997), place of work status and sex for Alberta census subdivisions of residence on 2011 boundaries in 2001. (20% sample-based data).

Usage Considerations

  • Statistics Canada has adopted an open licence which allows this product to be accessible to all GOA employees and to the general public. This product has been reproduced and distributed on an “as is “ basis with the permission of Statistics Canada. It was originally acquired by Alberta Innovation and Advanced Education.

  • Data products that are identified as 20% sample-based data refer to information that was collected using the long census questionnaire. For the most part, these data were collected from 20% of the households; however they also include some areas, such as First Nations communities and remote areas, where long census form data were collected from 100% of the households.
