Usage Considerations

This data represents the number of inquiries received in the contact centre. Each call does not necessarily represent a complaint, though many would. In this context, all complaints are considered informal as Service Alberta offers a formal complaint process independent of the contact centre.

This is not perfect data. Some calls may not have postal codes if a caller does not know the postal code or does not wish to provide it. For certain call types, a postal code is not collected (i.e.: for licensing phone calls, call code ""L""). Additionally, postal codes are self-reported.

For additional information regarding the type of inquiries received, please refer to the call code legend. This legend will be updated as additional call codes are added/removed.
