Over an 18-month period, the four-member MLA Committee which was appointed led an engagement process that included government-to-government meetings with First Nations and Métis leaders; urban Aboriginal dialogues; and meetings with educational institutions, training providers, service delivery, community and economic development organizations, other levels of government, employers, and industry. The focus of the engagement was increasing the participation of Aboriginal people in Alberta’s work force and economy.
