Description

This is a program guide for Nurse Practitioner Primary Care Practice Program that would allow nurse practitioners to practice autonomously, with the goal of expanding the capacity of the Primary Care Practice system in Alberta and increasing opportunities for Albertans to access primary care. The intention is to introduce a model of care and payment system that will support nurse practitioners to manage their own patients, either in their own independent clinics or in team-based care settings.

The Resident and Family Councils Toolkit is intended to help residents and families of licensed supportive living accommodations and continuing care homes set up and maintain councils. It contains tools and ideas that may also be useful for facilities with existing councils.

Description

This Seniors, Community and Social Services (SCSS) dataset describes the monthly Assured Income for the Severely Handicapped (AISH) caseload in Alberta. The AISH program provides financial and health benefits to eligible adult Albertans with a permanent medical condition that prevents them from earning a living.   Caseloads are reported as the actual volume each month and by the Alberta government’s fiscal year. Depending on an individual’s situation, some AISH benefits may also be provided for a spouse or partner and dependent children.   Monthly caseloads are also shown as a portion of the entire Alberta population; and by gender, age, primary medical condition, family composition, employment participation and six service delivery regions across the province.   For locations of AISH delivery regions, choose the Alberta Seniors, Community and Social Services Regions Map within the Resources section.

Description

This Seniors, Community and Social Services (SCSS) dataset describes the monthly Income Support caseload in Alberta, including two client groups: those Expected to Work (ETW) and those who have Barriers to Full Employment (BFE). Income Support provides financial benefits to individuals and families who do not have the resources to meet their basic needs, like food, clothing, and shelter. The caseload is defined as the number of households categorized as ETW or BFE during a specific reporting period. Most commonly, this is reported as the average volume for a specific period (e.g., annually).   The composition of the caseload is made up of single individuals, lone-parent families, couples with children and couples without children.
