Alberta's MMIWG Roadmap will guide government action to reduce violence and increase safety and economic security for Indigenous women, girls and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. The roadmap contains four pathways for action that establish priorities moving forward. Each pathway includes a goal and responds to one of the four root causes of violence identified by the National Inquiry. Each goal includes a series of actions to further inform government initiatives going forward.

To build research capacity in the areas of housing and homelessness, Alberta Human Services facilitated a partnership between the Alberta Interagency Council on Homelessness and Alberta Centre for Child, Family and Community Research to develop a provincial housing and homelessness research strategy. The resulting research strategy was meant to generate and mobilize evidence to inform priorities, decisions and recommendations relevant to A Plan for Alberta: Ending Homelessness in 10 Years. It included a research agenda and an implementation framework.

They provide brief descriptions of the incidents where allegations of abuse of a child in care were substantiated by the OCYA, and the subsequent actions taken by the government in response to these allegations.

In spring 2005, the Minister of Children's Services requested a review of the Family and Community Support Services Program to identify program strengths and opportunities and explore possible strategies and means of improving collaboration and efficiency between FCSS and Child and Family Services Authorities. The review also looked at the unique challenges of rural FCSS programs, as well as the accountability of FCSS programs and their ability to use their partnerships and connection in the community to leverage additional funds.
