A 10-year study was conducted to assess the quality of irrigation water within Alberta's irrigation districts. This report is one of a series of reports based on data collected from this study entitled the Irrigation District Water Quality project. The focus of this report is to examine the long-term patterns of pesticide presence in irrigation water of southern Alberta.

A 10-year study was conducted to assess the quality of irrigation water within Alberta's irrigation districts. This report is one of a series of reports based on data collected from this study entitled the Irrigation District Water Quality project. The focus of this report is to examine whether water quality trends are present in irrigation water of southern Alberta.

This report is one of a series of reports based on data collected from this study entitled the Irrigation District Water Quality project. The focus of this report is the use of water quality indices to interpret the overall/aggregate quality of irrigation water of southern Alberta.

The Government of Alberta, through the Department of Agriculture and Forestry (AF), regulates forest management on the Crown Land of Alberta. Reforestation in Alberta is the responsibility, by law, of those who harvest trees on Crown Land. Companies that harvest trees are required to report the result of their reforestation activities to the government annually (by May 15). Reforestation activities and their associated results are audited annually by AF and this information is used to ensure that forestry activities are conducted in a sustainable manner and in compliance with legislation.

Alberta Agriculture and Forestry commissioned an independent review of its Wildfire Management Branch and the extraordinary wildfire activity the organization faced in 2019. The review focused on the operational aspects of the 2019 response to the spring wildfires, the impact on and perspectives of residents, partners and stakeholders; and an evaluation of the Wildfire Management program in its entirety including the connection of the 2019 experience to past fire seasons and reviews. The final report includes a number of recommendations and opportunities for improvement. Also included in this record is a four-page document outlining next steps to be taken by Agriculture and Forestry in response to the recommendations in the report.

Forest company forest management plans detail when, where and how timber on Alberta Crown land will be managed in order to balance social, economic and environmental needs based on input from the public, Indigenous peoples and interest groups. The forest management planning area under consideration is Forest Management Agreement FMA 9700032. The forest management plan includes the Forest Management Agreement and non-FMA portions of Forest Management Unit R13, collectively known as the Detailed Forest Area. The Detailed Forest Area is located within the Upper Athabasca, and North Saskatchewan Land-Use Framework planning regions in west central Alberta; it falls within the Subalpine, Upper Foothills, and Lower Foothills Natural Subregions.
