In 2016 the Northern Alberta Development Council (NADC) hosted the Northern Health Summit, to connect senior health officials and experts with community leaders, with the goal of facilitating opportunities for partnerships and discussions to address key health challenges and priorities in the north. In a report following the summit, the NADC advanced six recommendations where system benefits could benefit northern communities. This report updates progress on advancing northern health care since the summit and contains details on programs that align with the six recommendations.
